Genesee Fire Rescue (GFR) is celebrating our 50th Anniversary throughout 2023. It is my pleasure to invite you to participate in this jubilee.

Since 1973, the volunteers of GFR have continued to serve our community with honor, integrity, and pride. Those who serve today know that we stand on the shoulders of all those selfless volunteers who have come before us, and it is that history that we wish to capture and to celebrate.

Update For GFPD Members

You are invited to attend a Zoom meeting hosted by the Genesee Foundation. This meeting will address fire mitigation efforts and update information concerning a potential Emergency Access Road. There will be an opportunity for Q&A for all Fire District members. Q&A panel will include GENESEE FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, JEFFERSON COUNTY SHERIFF, GENESEE FOUNDATION BOARD REPRESENTATIVE(S), and GENESEE FOUNDATION OPEN SPACE MANAGER.

The Genesee Fire Protection Board of Directors will hold a special meeting on April 10th, 2023.  The special meeting will be held at Genesee Station 1 from 0900-1100.

Have you ever wanted to volunteer, but didn't know how to get started? Maybe it was a New Year's resolution for you this year. Maybe you have the desire, but don't think you have the time, so it stays on the back burner.

As part of the Genesee Fire Protection District, your local Genesee Fire Department has partnered with various local charities, and will be hosting a Volunteer Opportunity Night on Tuesday, March 28th from 6:30-7:30 pm at the Fire Station, 23455 Currant Drive.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, and particularly to the electors of the Genesee Fire Protection District of Jefferson County, Colorado.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a regular election will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. At that time, two (2) directors will be elected to serve a four-year term.

The Genesee Fire Protection District (GFPD) Board of Directors will be holding a special meeting (Board Workshop) on February 3rd from 1000-1300. The meeting will be held at Genesee station 1 located at 23455 Currant Dr. Golden, CO 80401. The agenda has been posted on our board of directors page and can also be found here.
